Neon Country

Neon Country is an ongoing photographic exploration of the rural landscape after dark. Using coloured gel flash, familiar places are transformed into scenes that feel suspended somewhere between documentation and fiction.

The project examines how artificial light can alter our perception of ordinary environments, revealing a landscape that is at once recognisable and strangely unfamiliar. While the visual language remains consistent throughout, each season introduces its own atmosphere and palette. The project is therefore presented in two chapters, Summer and Winter, each reflecting the distinct character of the landscape during that time of year.
